Thanjavur Brahadiswara Temple

Thanjavur lies 322 Km to the southwest of Chennai in Tamilnadu.
Thanjavur Brahadiswara temple is one of the famous Siva temples in India.
The main temple consists of towers called srivimana.
The Brahadisvara temple was built by the great Chola king, Rajajraja Cholan.
This grand temple is also known as the Big Temple.
The great Vimana of this temple is of the Dravidian style of architecture.
It has a height of about 216 feet.
